What is Photography ?
Dictionary Definition
The art or process of capturing images, either on light-sensitive film or electronically in digital form, from which viewable pictures can be produced; activity of someone who uses a camera.
Origin of the word
From photo-graphy, together meaning "drawing with light" or "representation by means of lines", "drawing". From φωτός (photos, “(genitive) of light"), and γράφω (graphō, “I write")
For me; Photography like life is a JOURNEY.
You know where you start, but you don’t know how, where and when it ends. The journey is full of surprises, discovery, amazing & painful moments, a lot of learning lessons , a lot of satisfaction and the unwavering desire to get things done and move forward to the next experience.
History of Photography
The beginings of Photography can be traced over almost 180 years. Despite is a whole, to approach it we can view it thru several dimension intertwined as one:

The Technological dimension (the inventions and their evolution over time)
The Social dimension (the impact of it, and the transformation in our society because of it)
The Human dimension (The content, the sender and the receptor and its evolution over time)
